August 8 China's ban on printing foreign newspapers to remain
The government studied the possibility of allowing foreign papers to print on the mainland, but decided against doing so for now.

Chief Executive Officer Gamal Adlan Nordin said Malaysian readers now had the opportunity to read newspapers from the United Kingdom, the United States or even France much earlier than the people in the host countries of the newspapers.
